I should’ve been posting more often, but for the last week, I’ve been having homework almost every night [biome brochures, anyone?]. If I didn’t have very much homework, I was just too tired to type very much here [four paragraph writing during 7th hour yesterday, used as the perfect example for everyone else today.] The flu’s been pretty strong too, in fact, I was almost sick last Wednesday. Luckily, I went, because Thursday and Friday were canceled, but I was still feeling pretty :&. Right now, I’m actually recovering from a mild case of food poisoning, I think. The burger I ate last night just didn’t seem cooked well enough. Oh medium-well… The last couple nights, I’ve been up pretty late doing homework and nothing else. I’m just glad the weekend’s finally arrived!

Lo siento
Ya, so um…
I only have time for a very short post today. I have too much to do tonight.
I am just kind of surprised by my computer class. We’re giving presentations in group, well, most of us, so today this one person goes by himself. Oh, no, he doesn’t do anything. He pays someone else a pack of gum to go present for him. The person has to put up with all the teacher’s junk, and then it comes time to do the lab simulations. Again, he does NOTHING. The teacher has to do it all. So, we do peer evaluations for this… and so I fill out the one for my group appropriately reflecting his effort. The score was 3/50 points. I take it back when he’s talking to the teacher. And… he says , no joke “So… how much will this bring up my grade.” Yeah >_>. Sad, I know.
Oh, and at school this morning (we have CNN on before school), I saw an ad, and they were using an ELO (Electric Light Orchestra) song. Made me think of yesterday’s rant.
So, that’s all for today! :D
Let’s rant. =p
Let’s keep the rant theme a goin’.
Another thing that has been annoying me lately is the use of music — good music– in advertisements. At first, it started out very slowly. Now, it just seems like they’re doing it more and more. Y’know the UPS commercials? The music they use is “Such Great Heights” by The Postal Service (the single version I believe). They don’t even use the lyrical part of it. The news did that too, and they just kept on looping it. It was driving me insane, and the worst part was that the news story was so off from the lyrics… Of course, the news also used a song by The Killers which was quite off from the story’s subject too. I can’t remember the song they used specifically. Now, the rant’s over. So…
I know I should have posted yesterday. I really had no excuse for NOT posting. I just don’t know why I didn’t. Something with not waking up until almost 10 am? It was snowing all day, so all we did was go to my grandma’s. I don’t know how much we got though, it was snowing pretty hard all morning, but it actually stayed the same the whole time because it was melting.
Today was fun too. Got to go eat at Perkins for breakfast. Nothing like a huge chocolate muffin to start off your day. =D This afternoon we went to a dying mall. If you want any idea, they still have their sign up for Wards, which went out of business in 2001. That whole wing, aka 1/4th of the mall only has a Lenscrafters. The Dillard’s is a clearance center, so that means it’s only literally racks of clothes. No decoration whatsoever. I should have taken a picture XD. It was only the top floor at least, the bottom was completely closed off.
Ate a nice Mint Oreo Blizzard today too. It was good =D. Well, I’ve posted myself out for today. Just a little note, I’ll probably not be able to post again until Thursday.
The Chiefs
As many of you probably don’t know, KC’s major sports complex is going under a major renovation (links– http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kauffman_Stadium and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrowhead_Stadium). The Chiefs had a nice little article written in the paper today… written about how they were going to raise their “club level” prices by at least being doubled, in some cases, tripled! They’re already expensive enough in my opinion! That’s not even the worst part. A quote in there says that it is in-line with what other NFL teams are doing. THE CHIEFS HAVE NEVER BEEN LIKE OTHER TEAMS. Who’s owner started the Super Bowl, named it even, and the whole AFC? The Chiefs. Who hasn’t had a new GM in too many years? The Chiefs. Who has a stadium that is not a cookie cutter like many other stadiums at the time it was built, and has lasted longer than most of them? The Chiefs.
I just hope they don’t do this type of stuff to the Royals… I go to their games a heckuva lot more than the Chiefs games. We went to a Chiefs game last year (my first time), and our seats were in the highest part…. and cost $70 a pop!
You know, the teams should start playing better before they do this type of junk. The tax payers are paying for almost the whole renovation for goodness sake.
My fit is over. =D
We rented Spidey 3, so I guess I’ll be watching that tonight.
As many of you can tell, my profile has been moved here. Most of my clicks are going there now, lol.
Let’s see, on Wednesday night, I had a tourney that was a good 40 miles away from my school, and our incompetent bus driver drove us to the wrong school. >_< I didn’t get home until eight, and then I had to “read” aka SparkNotes/skim 65 pages of The Grapes of Wrath, which I got a hundred on the quiz (hurray for drug dog searches!) the next day anyways. I was just plain tired too.
Today was a nice half day. Nothing like getting out of school when the sun hasn’t risen. Just kidding… Lunch today was good too. We ate at my favorite sub place, and I got to reserve my copy of Brawl, which my parents are paying for anyways. I just saw the 50ish reserve slips and decided that getting one wouldn’t be a bad idea. My dad shouldn’t work that day either, so I get to go early probably. =D Walking into Best Buy was fun too. There was this lady outside screaming something about her $300 iPod Touch, how you shouldn’t buy anything from Best Buy because they’re liars and stealers, and that it was blankety blanket. (I just don’t want to repeat it because I do not feel like repeating the words of a loony.) Nevertheless, she was parked in the handicap space… she definitely didn’t have a handicap (besides something mental perhaps? =\). I guess she was probably just like many other people, she wants to return it because she broke it by being stupid, or just doesn’t want it. :’
That brings me to my next point, has anyone noticed that when there’s a handicap space, you’re usually left wondering if they got it because their parking abilities are handicapped? I just keep on noticing that more and more. It’s just annoying…
Heh, well this isn’t the longest post (about 350 words) but oh well…
